Its really no secret that Iran wants to eliminate Israel. There’s also no secret that they’re building an atomic weapon — likely for that purpose. Only one sizable nuclear weapon would be needed, and then there would be no resistance when Iran moves in. Thousands would die in what would be another holocaust.
And America would do nothing.
After America decimated the Iraqi army in a matter of days, we sent a clear message: Our military is the deadliest in the world. Iran got that message, and although it may not seem to be on the surface — they got smart about it. Iran knows what attacking Israel means, it means America will rally the world’s support behind itself and attack Iran. Iran can not hope to win that battle. So what could they do?
Set the stage. Iran needs one thing to complete its goal — an alliance with Russia. Why? America can not attack Russia if its troops are attacking Israel along with Iran. Like the cold war there would be a stand off. If we confront them, they’ll stop selling us oil and bankrupt our economy. More of a threat is Russia’s 10,000 ICBM missiles.
It’s not inconceivable that Iran and Russia as friends could make a very clear statement: stand back America and you will not be harmed. Leave Israel alone.
This would make America very unwilling to enter such a conflict.
A simple Truth: The world will end.
Have you ever skipped to the end of a story to find out what happens? We, you and I, are living in a story of our lives and of history itself. A fact of the story is that it does have an ending. Our lives here on this world will end, but how will the story, the world itself end? I find it only fitting to begin a blog suited to discuss Life, the Universe and Everything in the light of Christ by pointing to the End of the World, first. It is sometimes find it easier to begin at the end goal and work your way backwards. It seems more practical, and I think we’re closer to the end of the world’s story than we are the beginning. So, if we know the end of the world, then the rest of the blog practically writes itself because the details write themselves.
You must understand that the world will end. Whether it be tomorrow or in a thousand years, the day you and I die, the world ends for us. So how will the world end for you? Have you given it any thought? Meditate on your own death some time. One day you will close your eyes for the final time, and breathe your final breath. You will pass from this world, and all time and everything of yours will be no more. Your physical goods and money won’t go with you, only your hope, faith, and love. Its a eye-opening experience, one that can only bring you closer to G-d — the ultimate goal of your life.
As for this world we call Earth, it too also meets an end. G-d’s creation is finite, and such it has an ending to it. Scripture teaches us that the day Christ returns, Judgement day, is the final day of this world. Just as miraculously and wonderful the story of our universe started, so shall it end. Is it possible that you and I could be here the day Christ returns and thus be spared a physical death and instead see him with our Earthly eyes? The thought of that is scary as much as it is wonderful, but amidst living our lives one day at a time, we must watch for it.
The End of the World, or better termed Eschatology, is a fascinating beginning point for my work here. So consider two things — the end of your life and the end of this place because whether we want it to or not, they will happen.
Most people now-a-days believe we’re living the “end-times”, so lets prepare ourselves for them so we can confront them when they happen. Over the coming days, I’ll make posts about some secrets of the future, and the coming times ahead. As the Boy Scout motto is, “Always be prepared!” — this is a worthwhile persuit.
